Pullet-shut automatic chicken coop door

Are you tired of forgetting to lock the chicken coop and unintentionally 'feeding the local wildlife'? How much has that really cost over the past few years? Want to leave on vacation and not have to pay the neighbor's kid to let out and put up the chickens? Well this is the coop door for you!
This is the best quality automatic chicken door that you'll find. No plywood to warp, bind or rot. In fact no wood at all. It's built with solid aluminum framing (7/8" thick), aluminum clad door, and brass pivot hardware.
It doesn't get any simplier to install and set up. It has four holes to screw into your coop, and connect your 12 volt DC power source (for instance a battery or AC adapter). No worries about changing weather making it stick. Nothing to align, no worrying about it fitting just right and not binding, just cut a 11" x 15" hole in the coop & put the door over it.
To program it, hold the magnet provided over the red circle in the morning when you want it to open and hold it there for as wide as you want the door to open. It will open every day at that time and that wide. That first evening hold the magnet over the door again and it will close at that time every evening. Wipe the sweat from your brow, you've now programmed it!
To change the times, just remove power for 10 seconds, or even easier just hold the magnet over the red circle for 10 seconds.
And it has a very nice safety feature. Let's say your rooster is standing in the door when it starts closing. Not to worry, it closes slowly (about 3-4 seconds) and won't injure a bird if they're standing in the way. It will start closing but the resistance of the rooster will stop it. No problem at all, it will automatically attempt to close one minute later. No other door on the market has this great feature!
Another great feature is the way the door opens. It opens just like a house door does, swinging out. No slides to bind, because you know slides bind eventually. In fact the pivot point is an aluminum/brass joint, so it will never rust or corrode or bind. It doesn't even need to be lubricated. To compare other doors, just look at the table below:
7/8 inch solid 6061 aircraft aluminum frame, aluminum-clad door
No warping, rotting, or binding issues over time. The frame is the reference point for everything else and the door is the one moving piece. Wood is fine for a few months.
Brass on aluminum bottom pivot
Plywood on plastic or wood slide
No lubrication needed ever for Brass-aluminum. Plywood is unstable and will stick open sooner or later.
Power isn t often available at the coop. Power outages affect mains power timers and they stop working, not true for battery timer.
Frame is 17 tall x 13 wide plus electronics box
Many coops do not have the height available or the standard stud spacing to support most doors.
Custom circuit running on low-voltage DC battery
Walmart mechanical lamp timer
Mechanical timers have failure issues in dirty coop environments and require constant power.
Easy single sensor open and close times with reset
Walmart timer tiny plastic start/stop triggers
Plastic pieces are easily lost. It does not get easier than the Pullet-Shut programming.
No switches, one magnetic sensor
Switches to indicate open/close limits
Switches are a high-failure rate problem in coop doors due to dust and humidity. Switch failures equals door failures.
How wide the door opens is programmable and multiple open/close cycles are simple
Pullet-shut lets you define how wide you want the door to open. And after the first day s programmed open and close times, you can open or close the door anytime without changing the programmed open and close times.
Torque-limited, second-chance door closing
Pullet-shut limits the motor torque to avoid injuring chickens if stuck in the door. Every evening the door opens again for 10 seconds after the programmed close time to let in any late chickens.
Once you start using the door, you'll wonder how you managed without it. It will save you time, save you trouble and save your chickens.
