A unique fully encapsulated, waterproof module in a convenient 12Vdc package. If the sensor plates come into contact with rain, snow or hail, it switches an internal relay. Sun blinds may be retracted with that, skylights may be closed or a simple rain alarm can be given.
The automatically heated surface of the sensor prevents freezing or prolonged wetting of the sensor surface. So if no more rain is detected after a short time, the moisture on the heated surface will have evaporated and the sensor resets itself and will remain in that state until it detects the next rain drop. 2 installed LEDs indicate the functions.
The sensor module has a built in relay that can be used to switch external appliances or devices, up to 2 Amps. This is ideal for the switching of roof & sky lights in conservatories or for switching an alarm to alert a person that it is raining.
