Don't spend your time fooling with banner ad programs and high cost website promotion services only to see your counter move a little with no sales. Banner ads seem nice - but generally are not effective. Often, only about 1% (or less!) of the people who see a banner ad will click on it. As for search engine rankings, well you probably already know how difficult that is.

We also have over 15,000 Expired and High Traffic Domain Names that are pointed to our traffic servers, (for campaigns purchasing redirect traffic). Our traffic websites are all 100% English speaking, and are located throughout Europe, UK, Canada, Asia, and the US. They send a unique URLs to one of our traffic servers each time they deliver the pop-under to the end user, then we route it in rotation to group URLs that have campaign URLs within them, when the traffic arrives at your campaign URL, we send the traffic to your website, and only at that time do we increment your counter as the visitor sent.
When we place a banner add with an outside advertiser, we may only get one out of 1000 to actually click the ad... actually a very high return for some banners. So it could be said we have a .1% product interest rate, but if that one in a thousand (or 2000) does gives me a sale, and repeat business, then the advertising dollar might be justified, though in general hasn't been for banner campaigns.
Our RON is global unfiltered traffic that is the overflow unused from targeted and country specific campaigns; therefore it is the least expensive, and can come from anywhere globally. In some cases it is also the most cost effective. RON can be the most effective for general appeal campaigns, though the CPM (cost per 1000 pop-unders served) may also make it the most cost effective for many niche campaigns. Also, keep in mind the quantity of visitors, regardless of whether or not they are targeted, helps improve your search rankings, which gives inexpensive RON a plus in that respect. For niche or region specific campaigns and products, it's good to experiment with region and/or category targeted campaigns to see if the additional cost of targeting is needed and cost justified. 1) The network website (we have non-disclosure agreements with over 5000 high volume mainstream industry players with non-disclosure agreements) the user is visiting triggers a pop-under, always using the same URL.
It s best to put your counters at the top of your web page, at the beginning of the body and install multiple counters, then you will see how they all will differ, but will also help verify us against folks not sending you anything. But don t make the mistake as so many do of signing up for a counter service, and think that s it you have to INSTALL the code on the target campaign website in order for it to work, and even then, if the campaign site has any issues in responsiveness, or if the counter site has any issues in responsiveness, which it will with fast delivery page requests, and/or the code is incompatible with other scripts on your website, your counter will undercount or even not count at all, depending on the end user browser viewing your site, and whether or not their java is enabled.
You have several scenarios going on with many other dishonest vendors... those that slowly move their counter... look out-they mix in a small amt of real traffic so that it hits their counter, but in addition, they have a script that also increments the counter (cheating). Those are more easily spotted that just seem to increment very smoothly and regularly without pauses between campaign rotations (though I am not implying all of these are dishonest). The price usually tells you something. If they deliver millions of visitors for practically nothing, ask yourself how they could afford the infrastructure, the labor hours, and the network to actually deliver at that price. Then you have the vendor that gives you basically nothing, and goes into the db and put in a new # every day or three! Then, after a few days doesn't even bother, unless you get on to them ... lots of crooks out there. Or the one that sells you millions of visits but then it calculates out that it will take a year or two (or more) to deliver. If you put counters on that guy to do a sanity check, you will get almost nothing, he just has his counter on a script to slowly but surely increment. Then there is the type that just has a bunch of PCs set up to do refreshes, and you notice ALL your visitors are from two or three IPs.
