This is the operators manual that South Bend made for their 9"-24" lathes produced in that time frame. It covers everything shown in the contents section listed below and more.
For your continence, I have printed up three different version of this How to Run a Lathe manual to cover the large span of lathes that South Bend produced from 1906 to the late 1900s. The approximate date of the manuals I have are from 1906-1930s, 1930s-1950s, and 1950s-late 1900s. Some of the manuals overlap on certain machines and parts, because South Bend didn't change every machine and part at precise times, but I can help you match the appropriate manual with your machine.
