CUTAWL #13 SAW BLADES, 1 PACKAGE OF 10
This sale is for a fresh package of #13 saw blades for your Cutawl. They are designed to utilize the best features of the Cutawl saw, easily cutting lines and patterns in sheet goods of hard or soft wood to 3/4". This blade is made of an extremely strong high carbon steel, and with a saw toothed side, cycling at up to 50 times a second, will move easily through your material. This is the finest of the Cutawl saw tooth blades for flat sheet goods, enabling tight turns for wood lettering or intricate patterning. You start your cut anywhere on the side of your pattern with this blade because there is no chisel point. Alternatively, you can drill a hole to insert the blade into a pattern piece prior to starting the saw for a cut. Your sheet goods must be suspended on blocks to allow this blade to move completely through the sheet goods as it cuts.
Other materials of a nature similar to wood sheets may also be cut with this blade. Do not exceed the maximum depth of sheet goods listed above at any time. Other cutawl blades are available for cutting thicker sheet goods.
NOTE: The top of the blade must NOT rise above the top of the chisel block. See the instructions provided with your Cutawl for stroke and clearance adjustments. You may see case hardening colors and possible oxidation staining on some of these blades. Such marks are not defects in the blades. Because of their very high carbon content and specialized heat treatments, these blades are always susceptible to oxidation staining if not kept well oiled and in a dry location. Some Cutawl blades have been blued with gun finish and some have been made with a stainless steel (as above) to minimize oxidation, all with minimal success. Seconds after cutting into any material, the oxidation staining and surface treatments will be gone and you will have a nice shiny new blade!
