This is a vintage industrial trade / machinists' supply catalog, issued by the Whitman & Barnes Co. of Akron, Ohio, in 1917 ("Manufacturers of Twist Drills, Reamers, Special Drop Forgings, Drop Forged and Screw Wrenches, Spring Cotters, Flat Spring and Riveted Keys"). It is a hardcover book, Catalog # 90, 158 pages, with index, abundantly illustrated with b&w photos of tools and parts, plus several interior views of factories and shops; detailed descriptions, technical data, and many prices are also included.
Includes photos of factory works at Akron, Chicago, and St. Catharines, Ontario; Introduction; and charts on all types of available tools and metal machining supplies - many different kinds of arbors, bits, cotters, countersinks, drill sets, drill stands, drills, keys, reamers, sockets and sleeves, files, drop forgings, and wrenches.
Hardcover, measuring 5 by 7.5 inches; cover has a sticker, ink stamp, some soil and discoloring, and rubbing to edges and corners; this book has seen some moisture and has related damage - all pages have heavy rippling and some minor discoloring to the edges; several pages have small scars at edges from once being stuck together; a few pages may still be stuck together; the title page has heavier discoloring and an ink stamp; BUT all text and pics are undamaged - not as bad as it sounds overall. Condition is Good.
