We call them Shell Shakers in the oilfield . They are wonderful for separating the seeds from your vegetables and flowers..
This Sieve is made by Newark Wire Cloth Co. A.S.T.M. Designation E11.

There are no holes in the mesh.. The bottom rim is slightly bent in two spots.. It has a great brass patina.
New list price is close to $60.00 .. For a 5" basket.
