Hello, you are looking at a very clean, very practical Hausted Series 800 Uni-Care III patient transport stretcher. This stretcher / gurney comes complete w/ head and neck stabilizer section for patients with neck/spinal trauma. This device is attached to a radiopaque platform that fits under the patient's upper torso.This whole assembly comes off with just a few screws and transforms the stretcher for general transport use. It s a very nice, very useful Hausted stretcher with many applications which make it a great choice for just about any facility.
This stretcher will come with 2 mattresses: the half length is for use with the upper torso, head/neck immobilizing device. In that case you use disposable upper torso pads. When you remove the head/neck device and use the stretcher for general transport we have included (at no cost) a full size stretcher mattress for your convenience. When using either of these mattresses you may notice the side rails drag or catch a little on the edges; it's slightly wide when the rails are raised or lowered; although the half length mattress came with the stretcher and was in use up until the day we picked it up, there were no concerns mentioned about the mattress width.
