South bend lathe 9 or 10 k micrometer carriage stop
This is an excellent condition micrometer carriage stop off my 10 K lathe. It will also work with a 9 " South bend or other lathe like Atlas, logan, etc. It is was "professionaly" repainted by the previous owner and it is very smooth and nice to use. The tightening bolt is rounded but useable. I took a pic of the components to show the excellent internal condition. I think there is a small brass plug / keeper that is supposed to go between the tightening bolt and dovetail, which explains why it would be rounded, i.e. it won't tighten properly without it. This piece is just a 1/8" or less dowel so it is easily replaced. I am parting out the whole lathe (sad to say) to make room for the new 10 L.
