The remanufactured V91 HD/DLT Hard Disk Drive & DLT Degausser is a universal high energy eraser available for low-volume users who require a highly efficient non-continuous degausser. Powerful enough to erase data from computer hard drives, it is a compact, low noise, manually operated unit that sits neatly on a table top. Suitable for all applications for magnetic media users, the V91 HD/DLT is capable of erasing all oxide or metal based magnetic media.
With figures in excess of -75dB for high energy metal tapes and up to -90dB on standard oxide tapes, complete erasure is assured every time with quick erasure times running as little as 10 seconds per cassette. The machine is especially well suited to erase hard disk drives. Once a hard disk drive has been degaussed, it cannot be reused.
The machine includes a keylock switch as a standard safety feature to completely control unauthorized usage of the machine. No unauthorized personnel may use the machine without the permission of the manager who retains the key. The operational duty cycle of the V91 HD/DLT is approximately five minutes on, five minutes off, with a longer run cycle from a cold start.
The V91 HD/DLT is also available for rent for $600.00 per month.
