Smartuki us - the ultimate smart car modification
Smartuki is the fusion of a Smart car and a high performance Suzuki GSXR engine. It is a well known and recognised brand that has been around for a few years now. If you just type the name Smartuki into youtube or Google you will get a good idea of what these cars are about. There are a few other variants made in places like Portugal but none of these are the real thing.
The kit was originally designed by Z Cars in the UK and was then marketed by another company. As the current owners of Smartuki we have re-developed the kit to improve on the original quality and to allow fitment into the post 2007 models that were officially imported into the US.
Despite huge interest from the US the kit has only recently been completed for the official US model of the Smart Car and we feel that it would be far better for the product to be built and sold from a US company instead of trying to export it from the UK.
What we are offering is the unconditional and exclusive rights to use the design and name to produce the kits and to distribute them in Northern America and Canada. This will allow you to build and sell kits (and or complete cars) from our original design and to use the Smartuki brand. We will supply you with a complete kit of all parts except the engine and running gear. You can then use the fabricated parts as a pattern to arrange local manufacture. We will also supply a fixing jig to allow the build up of the tubular space frame and a full set of cut steel tubing to use a a pattern for fabrication. This will only be a jig and tubes for the post 2007 (451 model) Smart that is officially imported to the US. We will provide a jig and cut tubes etc for the earlier model at a modest extra price if required. We will also supply all part numbers for other parts that are used in the kit to allow local suppliers to be found.
We have a complete 2007 car that we have used for the development of the new kit. The engine fitted in this car is from a 2008 Suzuki GSXR1000 K8. This is a UK spec Smart with right hand drive that came to us with some minor collision damage. For a very modest price we will include this instead of supplying a kit of all the parts as this may be preferred to allow reverse engineering of a completed vehicle. We would still provide a subframe jig and a set of cut tubes.
We will provide space on the Smartuki.com website to allow the US operation to be advertised and marketed. All contact through the website from interested parties in the US and Canada will be passed directly.
