This is a brand new Compressor Run Capacitor for the Bunn CDS-3 machine.
The actual replacement of this part is relatively easy, but the troubleshooting needed to determine the need to replace is intermediate and may require a repair technician with electrical and refrigerant systems experience. Essentially, if you experience fluctuations in the power being used during operation of your CDS-3 compressor this would be the first place I would look. Remember that there is one refrigerant system serving three independent hoppers (refrigerant flow is controlled to each hopper independently via the electrically-operated solenoids), so demand on the compressor at any time may fluctuate from "1" to "2" to "3" units of enegry. If your machine is quitting or stalling during operation, especially when you hear a solenoid click on, this might be the fix. (But, as in all complex systems, this same symptom could be caused by another problem such as insufficient refrigerant).
