Here is a Bausch and Lomb Academic 255 Series Zoom Microscope. Catalog No. M-4230-1 and Model No. 011. It features continuously variable zoom magnification from 100x to 500x. Base, arm, body and stage are constructed of metal to withstand hard usage; the zoom objectives are retractable to prevent slide breakage. This is a great student microscope, durable and easy to use with bright clear optics. I see that the slide hold downs are missing, they should be easy to replace.
Body: Inclined Monocular, reversible, rotatable through 360 degrees
Focusing: Worm and gear coarse control, harmonic drive fine control. Knobs are low-positioned with slip clutch and adjustable safety pre-focus stop.
Stage: Circular, Focusable with clips, 5 inches in diameter.
Substage: 0.55 N.A. condenser with 5- aperture disc diaphragm. Integral in-base Optilume illuminator with a condenser lens and blue filter.
Optics: Parfocal, Achromatic objectives. Eyepieces are locked in but removable and rotatable, 10x Wide field with measuring pointers.
