I am very excited to present to you a fantastic presentation that will make you an expert in maintaining your professional and valuable Hobart 1612, 1712, 1912, etc., slicer saving you hundreds of dollars, time, and most of all problems in the long run.
The presentation / repair manual is in a format of a picture-book consisting of more than 230 color pictures, and many notes and instructions that I put together during a step by step process as I was fixing various 1712, 1612, 1812 and 1912 slicers.
* Is the auto engagement system stuck?
* How do I remove the knife? (not as simple as it may seem)
* Is it more noisy than normal?
* What kind of oil is the "secret" oil?
* How do I replace the gear oil?
* Why I can't get the index knob to work right?
* How do you make one look like new? (complete process of shining it).
* Is the wiring cracked and/or spliced correctly?
* What caused oil to penetrate within the electric motor housing
and how to remove the rotor, clean up and prevent it?
Also added a small section on Berkel 818 showing very basic info
*stabilizing the arm's free play
*oiling it and where and what kind of oil
*If the auto movement stops under load some solutions
on belts, how to tention and how to clean
Some of the info on Hobarts will also apply on the berkel such as
+++225+ pictures X 1000 words worth each :-), you figure out what you'll get without having to read many pages :-)
After you watch this presentation, you will be able to have fun becoming an expert at tuning up, cleaning/oiling the slicer and making it not only more efficient to operate, but also safer (you have my word on all of my claims). I include portions of areas of slicers (1712, 1612, and 1912 models but they are all very similar by more than 90% in all areas) I have repaired, as well as areas that are not worth repairing.
It will save you a lot of money from the labor charges and further wear and tear as you will be able to fix it a lot sooner by not having to wait until it breaks due to the costs.
If you are slightly handy with basic tools and common sense, you will be able to do it.
I like to use nick names for everything I repair or fix, and the 1st 2 words that came to my mind was "DONKEY" or "MULE". (In many countries there is a saying when someone is a hard worker, "He works like a donkey". And it is simple to understand why. They are simple, they don't ask too much, they are hardy, and loyal, never complain and keep working with minimal maintenance. This is what these Hobart slicer's remind me. They are work-horses...I mean "work-donkeys" :-) They are not manufactured with great precision (tight tolerances) and great detail. They are kind of "old world" technology, and this simplicity makes them last forever with minimal areas of problems. They remind me of the old SINGER sewing machines (I have restored a few), except they are a lot more simple and crude. I like old machines like this because you simply, can count on them for a much "much" cheaper price. Just give them a little TLC, and you will never have to call the nice Hobart representative to empty your pocket, ever again. (If you can afford it, do it by all means, Hobart and their service are an awesome company and people who can afford it I encourage to deal with them).
100% Money-back guarantee!!! according to the simple common sense process below, that all must be satisfied in order from 1 to 6. (i.e. If you don't qualify for #1, you don't qualify for the rest).
If after qualitying for 1 & 2, & you are still not happy, just ask for a refund stating the reason (this will help me do appropriate updates), and promissing you will follow the agreement clauses in 3 and 4 below.
(Refund will not be given for abstract reasons or just because you need the money back because you enjoy stealing from others).
3. Engaging the money back guarantee, will involve your promise that you will destroy the presentation you will receive and you will obay and respect the Copyright infringement laws. (In Gmail will also delete it from the "trash" folder, "forever"
6. IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED THE ITEM IN ANY OTHER FORM BESIDES EMAILING, MEANING VIA "TANGIBLE MEANS", THE ITEM MUST BE RETURNED 1ST PRIOR TO RECEIVING THE REFUND if you have satisfied all of the above.
If you don't have Powerpoint, you can download the "viewer" for free from Microsoft. Powerpoint is probably best for viewing the 1st time, but you will also receive the PDF format (mostly all computers have it or you can download Adobe Acrobat for free), but most computers have the program for read pdf files.
For Certificate of mailing with tracking # add $4 TO THE ABOVE (I will have to go to the post office and wait in long lines for this and below).
If you have any questions I will be there to support you in any way I can via email.
I hope I will help a lot of you with your maintenance and costs.
