New hp 5340A microwave counter preamp retrofit kit
HP 5340A Microwave Counter PreAmp Retrofit Kit
IN November of 1987, the old CP1 Power Splitter (hp P/N 5088-7003) and the old A1/A2 Preamp Assemblies (HP P/N 05340-60017/05340-60027) and there exchange assemblies ( HP P/N 05340-60517/05340-60527) were obsoleted and are no longer available. the new ones were designed that are 10 times more reliable and do not require electrical "matching" at the factory. the new parts are not compatible with the old ones. Therefore, if the old power splitter or old preamps fail, all three parts must be replaced with new ones along with the necessary cabling.
These preamp retrofit kits have been set up in the event that an old one needs upgrading or repair. The 5340A'S with the option 005 23GHz frequency extension contain the same front-end as the standard 18GHz front end. The only difference is that the option 005 units have been tested to 23 GHz
