This seat has a metal bucket/base. It has a vinyl covering that provides a long-lasting comfort and durability so it won't tear under normal use. The contoured foam cushion gives added comfort and support. No sewn covers (for water to leak into) and won't peel or crack away from the foam. This foam is Waterproof. The seat Includes slides that you can mount on top of your existing frame. This allows the seat to slide back and forth smoothly; with the way this seat mounts you want have to worry if your frame is rusted or warn (look at the picture that shows the old seat; the new seats slides mount on top of the frame the old seat is sitting on). There are several mounting patterns here are the dimensions: 6" x 5" / 7.50" x 11.50 / 8.00" x 11.50" / 9" x 9.63" / 9.5" x 11.5" / 11.25" x 11.5".
