Cctv camera survey reporting software. drain report.
"Viewline" is a professional reporting package for CCTV drain surveys.
The software streamlines the production of a written report from your drainage surveys, either during or after they are carried out. The program has been created specifically for this industry. It is intended to save drainage contractors and surveyors hours of their time in report production. It achieves this through quick and easy drop down menu's with pre-installed information relative to drain reporting such as pipe sizes, materials, shapes, weather conditions etc. but most importantly, the very latest water industry drain defect descriptions and codes.
If you want to look professional with your survey reports, this is the software you need!
When you first start the program, you create your "Contractor details", insert your logo and this will become part of the first page of your report. Unless these details change, or if you want to utilize the "add" function to include more contractors and create a list of multiple contractors, you will never have to do this again.
Below you will see the "Job" window open on the screen and the details you can include in your report.
Additional entries of, which van, which camera, other people present, etc. are all avaliable, but are not always necessary on domestic survey reports. They will not be shown on the report if you leave them blank.
At this point, you carry out the survey of the drain and do the reporting live with a direct cable link, or insert your memory card/usb or dvd from a survey you have previously carried out, into your computer back at the office.
You will see the video in the Viewline interface. Simply play the video file and pause it on any defect you may see. Click forwards or backwards frame by frame for the best view, and capture that image for the report. The video pane is currently blank in the image below;
From a drop down menu in the "Observation Input" window (shown inset), choose which defect code or description best suits what you see. Click it and input any relevant details you may be prompted to include, such as a "percentage" (of root mass, water level, etc.), "from and to" clock references, (on circumferencial cracks and other similar defects) and comments or remedy suggestions. Viewline automatically assigns a severity grade to each defect and represents this in the report by using Red, Amber and Green coloured text. Red represents immediate attention required and green being more like an advisory on a low grade defect such as slight displacement of a joint. A summary of this will be in the report for very quick reference purposes.
You can then carry on through the survey footage to report on any other defects you may find. Start additional sections if you need to carry out further surveys under the same job details. Perhaps from "Manhole A" to "Manhole B" and then "B" to "C" and so on.
When you have finished this aspect of your report you can import an aerial photograph or plan drawing of the property for the site plan which will also be included in your report.
Overlay lines on the site plan from the Viewline interface. These will represent each section of the survey carried out and if you double click the line you can view the report for that section.
Finally, click on the "Report" button, and again from a drop down menu, choose the format you want your report to be generated in (see above). You are then only one click from completing a relatively quick and easy CCTV drain report but with a very professional edge.
