L-glutamine advantageâ„¢ (100X) solution - 100ML
L-Glutamine is an essential amino acid required by virtually all mammalian and insect cells grown in culture. L-Glutamine is labile in cell culture medium and its degradation results in build-up of ammonia in cultures. L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine is the stable dipeptide form of L-Glutamine and can be used as a direct replacement for L-Glutamine. The use of L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine in culture media at incubation temperatures results in minimal ammonia production. Once inside the cell, the dipeptide is split by aminopeptidases into L-Alanine and L-Glutamine.
