This is an evaluation board for the new Atmel AVR XMEGA microcontroller family. It comes with an Atmel XMEGA256A3 TQFP-64 8/16 bit Microcontroller, on board 3.3V power supply (requires 5V DC). Board can be programmed via PDI port, JTAG or Serial port using the builtin serial bootloader.

ATXmega256A3 Eval-USB Schematic
Atmel provides AVR Studio 4 for free which includes a complete development environment (IDE), assembler, and comes with open source AVR-GCC compiler. This software is compatible with this developer board.
