Turns MOSFETS hard ON, to attain their lowest specified Rds(on). (good luck attaining it otherwise).
Turns them ON FAST, and turns them OFF FAST. It will both source and sink current from MOSFET gates to provide fast switching.
Will drive MOSFETS whose GATE is at +600V with respect to the IC's ground pin. And will create a bootstrap driving voltage 12-15 V above the 600V to charge the gate.
Designed to reduce both conduction losses (by fully enhancing the channel), and switching losses (by reducing rise/fall times to their specified minimum) in MOSFETS and IGBTs.
