Sit-Upon Shorts are a new and innovative type of outdoor accessory gear for all ages-children, teens, and adults. The shorts type garment can be worn outside- anywhere, anytime. Anywhere when you want to keep the "seat" protected from environmental elements: from the wet, from the cold and damp. The Sit-Upon Shorts are the answer when full raingear is not needed. So many outdoor activities would be so much more enjoyable... The FUNCTION of the Sit-Upon Shorts is to be an accessory type gear that is easily carried and donned over clothing already worn. Or-they could also serve as just plain shorts. (They can be both fun and functional). The outer layer of the garment is the primary barrier between the wearer of the garment and external environmental elements. At least one inner layer can offer additional options including insulation, wicking properties, a type of lining, etc. The garment is fastened at the hip and waist areas with closure type flaps in a possible variety of ways (the prototypes utilize velcro). Elastic type material at the waist area can be utilized (or not) -to provide a means to adjust the waist for the wearer of the garment. Additionally, a type of drawstring may be an option to provide further adjustment at the waist. And a pocket or two, could be a nice option.
The actual APPEARANCE OR FORM of Sit-Upon Shorts can be made to be quite attractive, stylish, and can be made available in different colors and/or materials.
